So, what's up?
I hope this is enjoyable for someone to read. It's enjoyable to write. I am sitting at work, just looking up random math-related webpages on the internet.
I'm about to finish school, I'm moving out of the dorms on Tuesday (4 days from now). What complicates things for me? Not math. If anything math is what saves me from everything.
I've been thinking a lot about my own math-y existence. I'm thinking of Topology. I know that I'm jumping the gun and I've only pretty much taken a bunch of Intro to this and that classes, but Topology is cool.
I've always internally thought that things are the same, in the way that things are topologically equivalent spaces. We just live in one large isomorphic world, don't we?
But the real trouble is, how do you make a choice about something that will affect the rest of your life? The people around me think I'll get into a graduate program, I'm not so sure. I think it would be crazy of me to do anything else, but it's not really my choice.
I think that there's a graduate program out there for everyone, and if all else fails I'll get a masters and then work on the Ph.D.. I really want to go all the way through, but if I'm not accepted (purely because there are a million (exagerration) or so math people out there (think: 1/7th of the world!, jk) it's because there were more qualified people out there who beat me to the punch.
Or is that really so?
