The first issue of Rejecta Mathematica, the journal that "publishes only papers that have been rejected from peer-reviewed journals" has been published.

We reported on the announcement of this journal back in 2007; it is interesting to see that it has finally become available, and to look at the papers that they have published.

As the editors say, the papers "[run] the gamut of genres included in our mission"; there is at least one well-known name on the Contents page. The open letters attached to each of the papers make interesting reading.

A comment on the previous posting on Concerns said "I cannot imagine what job search committees would think of me if they saw in my vita that one of my papers is published in a journal called Rejecta Mathematica!" Although this is true, it is possible that this unique effort may have a small but positive role to play in the world of mathematics publishing.
