In the June/July issue of the Notices of the AMS (the one where the Editor reports that 5 inches of copies of the Notices will stop an AK-47 bullet), there is a full-page advertisement for Headlines and Deadlines for Students, an AMS service which gives mathematics news and alerts when deadlines draw near.

On the other side of the Atlantic Ocean, more maths grads is a three-year project to increase and widen participation in mathematics. The careers theme of this will be reflected in the website Maths Careers, which will be updated during the project.
