New Program for Women in Graduate School Events

A new program is being launched this summer for women beginning their final year in graduate school.  The organizers of this workshop have recognized the need to reach out to graduate students who are finishing their PhDs to offer perspective on the job search process and to mentor them as they progress through the very stressful last year in graduate school.  We are starting to address this issue by offering a career mentoring workshop (CaMeW) for women in their last years in PhD programs in the mathematical sciences.  We will encourage them to think about the kind of professional career they want and hopefully set them on the path to finding that first job that is a great fit for them and that will help them reach their goals.  During the workshop we will let them know about other great opportunities out there - the AWM workshop, NExT, etc that they can take advantage of later.

This workshop will be held in August at West Point and you can find all
the necessary information by visiting our website:

I am one of the organizers for this workshop, so if you have any questions, please contact me, Sarah Ann Stewart, at stewarts@mail.belmont.edu.
