Graduate students in London have launched a termly magazine for graduate students, LonDoc, which offers a lighthearted yet serious look at graduate life and being a graduate student.

With entries like "Top 10 things not to say in your viva" (Number 9: "If there's any bits you disagree with, my supervisor wrote them not me"), LonDoc is not all serious, but it does deal with more serious issues, such as the two-body problem and how to use the internet to boost your profile as a young researcher.

Based on the success of the London-based magazine, there are plans to launch a national version of the magazine.
