| Such as conceptual and experimental thinking and how it relates to age. I've read enough math biographies to know that there have been plenty of mathematicians who've been super productive until they fell over (Euler e.g., Poincare conjecturing at 50, etc.). Well, here's an interesting fellow:

He's accomplished in topology and it looks like has recently branched out to the P vs. NP problem, which is a Millenium problem. Microsoft hired him on, which is pretty neat I think.
Anyway, I think attitude is so important in any endeavor, and I know I sometimes fall victim to having a ba-humbug one sometimes regarding the whole enterprise.
Anyway, if anyone else wants to share interesting people who keep on a-tickin' let us know. The Millenium problems are of course outstanding problems and it's cool to see *anyone* working on them! |
