Below is some information on an undergraduate math conference. This is a great experience for undergrads to get their feet wet in the never ending world of research and presentations. And even better, not only I am presenting, but I get to help organize this year.

The 2006 TORUS conference will be held Saturday, February 25th on the campus of Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Oklahoma. Undergraduate students at all levels are invited to discuss their work. The symposium is open to anyone interested in undergraduate mathematics. We hope to provide as many students as possible with the experience of giving mathematical presentations.

The 2006 TORUS conference will be partially funded through the MAA NSF-RUMC (NSF Grant DMS-0241090)

Just FYI, there are LOTS of these great conferences all over the country. There is a great list of them at http://www.maa.org/rumc/upcoming.html. You should check and find one near you!

Conferences such as this one are really beneficial to undergraduate students. I would personally like to encourage the students to grab this opportunity to join a conference which could aid them shape their career. Education has always been a tool to a good future. Who knows what knowledge you can get from this conference. You won't be missing any second of your time, instead you are wisely investing your time, for a good education, a good career, a good future.

This sounds interesting and I'm sure you had a great time and learned a lot. Is this something that is coming up every year?
