Mathematicians everywhere were thrilled when the Broadway play "Proof" came out. Finally a positive portrayal of a mathematician - a welcome relief from the insane (A Beautiful Mind) and the murderous (the Unabomber). Now it's coming out on the big screen with Gwyneth Paltrow and Anthony Hopkins. And if you're near DC, there are free tickets available for an advance screening on August 26th...

| The first five people who email publicist Ivory Zorich at IZorich@alliedadvpub.com and mention YMN will get two free tickets to a screening on Friday, August 26th in DC. And afterwards you'll get to participate in a Q & A session with the director John Madden (of Shakespear in Love fame)! The rest of us will have to wait until September 16th when the film is released nationally.
