It's that time of the year again... time to decide if this is the year you finally graduate and head on the job market.

Of course this may seem a little early to decide if you are graduating. However now is the time to begin thinking about jobs. For example if you intending to particpate in the employment register at the Joint Mathmatics Meetings in January (something you should do if you are looking for a teaching tenure track job and possibily should do if looking for a tenure track in general) registration is due October 29th. If you are more research oriented and would like to apply for NSF or VIGRE postdocs are due October 15 and December 1 respectively.

To find out more on beginning the job search, check out the job search section or the archives.

If you are graduating this year. Good luck on the job market!

If you have any topics you'd like to see talked about in job search, feel free to post them as comments.
