[new] Nice suggestion! (none / 0) (#1)

Very cool use of rss feeds! I use Google Reader as well, but I hadn't thought of using it to keep track of job ads. That would be really convenient for keeping track of which ones you'd read already and which ones you hadn't.

[new] Google Reader (none / 0) (#2)

I also use Google Reader for my RSS feeds and am looking for a job. I'm glad I'm not the only person who does this.

But since my job search is more geographic in nature I'm using the Reader to funnel in Craigslist postings. I am in the S.F. bay area and looking at education postings, which some universities do post some things there but I still find myself looking at other sites.

I get those "saved job search" e-mails from Careerbuilder, Yahoo! Hotjobs and Monster but they end up with a lot of "system analyst" positions I'm not qualified for (but if you happen to be into that kinda thing I recommend looking them up!).

I also have problems with the way some sites only allow certain formats for resumes, but that's a comment for another day.
