[new] I wonder what Perelman's reasons (none / 0) (#3)

I wonder what Perelman's reasons were for declining? Lots of geniuses have declined a lot of medals and citations before. BUt there reasons were clear. Anyone know why Perelman declined his? And does anybody know more about Terence Tao? Thanks!
