[new] Algebra at Different Schools (none / 0) (#14)
by Vanes63 on Mon Jul 31, 2006 at 11:57:00 AM PDT

I have found, through talking with different students, that different schools have different ways of calling their "Intro to Proofs" course. This may be what his algebra is. At my school they called it "Foundations to Advanced Mathematics" but the book we used was called "Introduction to Abstract Algebra" and focused on the basics of learning to write proofs. I do not know if this helps and if this is what has happened to solarmist or not, but that may be the case.
