I was a Project NExT fellow during my first year after I earned my PhD, which was also my first year in a tenure-track job. I met a HUGE number of people through NExT, which also meant that I had access to a large number of people who were having the same transitional experiences as I was. There was also access to a HUGE number of people who had expertise that I didn't. It was really the best way to start off my career as a faculty member, and provided me with support that I needed to succeed. I strongly recommend that you apply!
