[new] A valuable experience (none / 0) (#2)
by halewis on Fri Jan 27, 2006 at 11:35:48 AM PDT

I went to Budapest in Fall 1990 (the fall of my senior year) and found it to be very rewarding. I found the classes to be at a good level, comparable to upper-level US courses. The fact that I had been on the program was specifically brought up by the department chair, and seen as a real asset, when I applied for my job at Nazareth College.

I also think that there is a lot of value studying in another country. I lived with a Hungarian woman and traveled to nearby countries with other BSMers on breaks. All in all, mathematically and personally, it was a great experience and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the program. As Kim offered in her comment above, feel free to email me at hlewis5 "at" naz.edu if you have any questions.
