[new] check out satellites (none / 0) (#1)

I strongly recommend checking out the satellite conferences to the ICM (usually linked from the ICM website).  If there is one in your field, this can be a real opportunity to get in contact with world class mathematicians.  Just apply for the ICM travel grant and, if you get it, contact the satellite conference and let them know you have travel funds and just need the extra hotel stay.

I met my best coauthor at an ICM satellite conference.
