The easiest way to find out teaching style would probably be to ask the professors and students what a class session entails. Another idea would be to look at what talks about teaching a particular faculty member has given (assuming that a cv is on their website) What topics they talk about and at which conferences would probably give you a good idea, assuming of course that there are some.
