[new] Not just NSA (5.00 / 1) (#3)

NSA numbers are hard to tell. I haven't seen publicity on their numbers. Given the location and skill sets of some of the job postings I have seen, some of it is obviously contractors to NSA.

But intelligence is certainly a huge bulk of it, and probably their absorbtion of math PhDs is the reason for the strain to fill positions in other industries in the DC area. I did note positions associated with NIMA (National Imagery Mapping Agency, I think), and one govt contractor mentioned MASINT (intelligence derived from various emmisions, such as infrared).
