One thing you should NOT do is simply handle it your self. Every school I've been a part of has a policy on cheating clearly stated. If you simply handle it yourself, and every other prof that catches them in the future does the same, you've then helped undermine the value of a degree at that school. Minimally, a zero should be given for the course. Don't take cheating so lightly! Your integrity is just as much at stake as the school's, your departments and those students. Bust them to the fullest extend allowed at your school.
