I don't do newsgroups much but under google groups I noticed a few math related groups under sci.math that we could perhaps use to advertise YMN.

We already have a presence here, but we need to update the info here (as well as a few other places, such as item #43 on this page) with the new youngmath.net url. The YMN link here is even older!

We come up in a search of phds.org. The link is to the old (broken) url and the description probably could be updated to include more stuff that we do, the scoop site, poster session, panels and town meetings, etc.

Here is the URL for a draft of a recruitment flyer. I envision it being used to send to a member of a department who then forwards it on to some department list. This is written like an information flyer rather than a "Dear Colleague" letter.

[new] Some scoop stuff I can't figure out. (none / 0) (#14)

Here are a few things I can't figure out in the scoop engine that are keeping me from tweeking the layout of the site the way I would like...
  • There are some blocks that I can't seem to get to, like |info| which contains the "from the .... department" stuff, as well as some like |stats| which are used to show how many comments have been posted and such (here I would like to add links to these to jump straight to the comments)...
  • The cron jobs for digests still appear to be broken...
